How we get from data to a decision.

In football a training week is named against match day. So is this page. Each step below is one day closer to the decision the staff actually have to make.

MD-5

Collect

GPS, heart rate, force plates, isokinetic tests, wellness forms and clinical notes arrive from whatever the club already owns. We add no hardware.

MD-4

Normalise

Units, sampling rates and metric definitions differ between vendors. We reconcile them so that a value means the same thing in August as it does in March.

MD-3

Compute

Ratios and thresholds are calculated against each player's own history, never a squad or league average. The rolling windows we use are published, not inferred.

MD-2

Interpret

Values become bands with named drivers, so any flag can be traced back to the numbers that produced it. No band is ever signalled by colour alone.

MD

Decide

Three departments read the same record in their own language and agree one call: who trains, how much, and who is on the team sheet.

Sources. Grounded in published work on acute:chronic workload ratio, periodization and load monitoring. Naming a researcher would imply endorsement we have not been given, so this page cites the literature rather than people. The full reference list belongs here.

To be written. Threshold table with windows and rationale · model assumptions and known limits · what we do when the evidence is contested · change log for every threshold revision.
